Taking advantage of yesterday’s launch of the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 like the MSI RTX 4090 SUPRIM X that we reviewed with the new Ada Lovelace architecture, NVIDIA has thrown out publicly released its new NVIDIA GeForce 522.25 WHQL certified drivers to officially support this new GPU.

Additionally, in addition to support for the RTX 4090, the 522.25 drivers also add support for DLSS 3.0 the new version of NVIDIA’s AI upscaling technology that only works on these RTX 40 series cards.

On the other hand, the performance of graphics has been improved under Microsoft’s DirectX 12 API set and there is also the leap to version 11.8 of the CUDA language for NVIDIA computation. Optimized support for Dakar Desert Rally, Gotham Knights, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collections games is also added.

Along with these new features, the green company has also corrected various bugs that its previous drivers had, for example, the Teardown game should not slow down if used together with the monitoring and control/OC software MSI Afterburner. Crashes in Unreal Engine 5.1 when enabling path tracing with NVIDIA graphics have also been fixed, as well as texture graphics glitches in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

The 522.25 WHQL drivers can be downloaded from GeForce Experience or from NVIDIA’s own download website, they have a weight of 801.78 MB.
