French President Emmanuel Macron said Wednesday that he will continue to speak with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in an attempt to “build peace” although that does not mean that they will stop sending war material to Ukraine.
“When you try to build peace, you need to talk. Whenever necessary, I will talk to Vladimir Putin,” said Macron, who hopes that “all parties come to the negotiating table as soon as possible.”
In turn, Macron has indicated that France will continue to provide military aid to Ukraine and has promised the delivery of radars, anti-aircraft systems and missiles to protect Ukrainians “from drone attacks.”
Macron attended the France 2 network this Wednesday, where he was the special guest at the premiere of the first edition of the program L’Evénement, from where he announced that they will deliver another six cannons of “the famous artillery mounts” to the Ukrainian forces Cease”.
However, he has also pointed out that they cannot deliver all the weapons and war equipment that are demanded from kyiv, since France needs to have weapons to protect the eastern flank, where France has increased its military presence with the deployment of troops and financing in Romania.
