¡Cyberpunk 2077 he’s alive, motherfuckers! In part, it is thanks to the success of edgerunners, the Netflix anime that has already managed to move millions of players to dust off their copy of the video game and give it another chance. As well as cyberpunkthere are several instances of titles being made up after their release.

That’s what we’ll talk about in this TOP 5, about games that were redeemed and that today deserve a second chance!

5: Street Fighter V

We start with Street Fighter V, one of the most popular fighting games today and one that is very loved by a large sector of fans, which was not always considered that way. His anticipation was enormous thanks to the jump to a new generation, since his trailers lit up the hype too much because they looked spectacular. The day of its launch arrived and we were all more disappointed than when we were given Christmas stockings.

The content was very sparse and left a lot to be desired. For example, the roster had only 16 fighters, almost none new, and the Arcade mode, which one would think was by default, was missing, which made the individual experience more ephemeral than a fortnight. We thought that the consolation would be to play online because it would be full of players and fun, but no, the servers were down, which ended up burying the premiere.

Capcom sweated like Shakira when asked if he’s paid his taxes yet, so over the next few months he released free updates and DLC that added characters, outfits, and game modes, as well as fixed the servers. So much significant and fantastic content was added, that editions were released Arcadian Y Championwhich include everything additional and are more similar to what we expected from the beginning.

We understand that sometimes companies have to meet a release date, but when they had so much left to add, we find it disrespectful for them to deliver something so incomplete. Fortunately, the company redeemed itself and made Street Fighter V a worthy installment of the franchise.

4: Assassin’s Creed Unity

Assassin’s Creed debuted in an overwhelming way, it won the hearts of millions of gamers thanks to its unique gameplay and complex and very interesting story. For the same reason, Ubisoft did what it does best: constantly harass him. I mean, squeeze every possible penny out of him. So, eventually, he started releasing franchise titles every year, which took a toll on the release of Unity.

Having so little time to develop such an extensive and ambitious video game resulted in a delivery with many bugs and programming errors, since they lacked time to polish it and discover where all the problems were, let alone fix them. So, a few hours after its release, Assassin’s Creed Unity was filled with la merde opinions, and rightly so.

Although it looked beautiful, it was more ripped than your panties. Fruit of the Loom del Aurrera, and the glitches weren’t just visual or funny, they made Unity unplayable. This led to many abandoning the title or not even trying it, and it was forgotten by the franchise. After a while, Ubisoft gave him his little cat hand, and those who had not yet turned their backs on him were very pleasantly surprised.

Behind that curtain of bugs, we find a more than good game. Mechanically, it is one of the best Assassin’s Creed, since stealth is very fine and parkour, one of the most impressive and satisfying. The story is very good, thanks to the fact that the period of the French Revolution is interesting and the characters are well written and memorable. This gives us one of the best titles of the franchise and the beginning of the last generation.

Unfortunately, for many Unity It was tainted by its turbulent debut and by the glitches that are among the most memorable in modern gaming. But, as we said, Ubisoft fixed all that, and at present it’s a Assassin’s Creed which is very worthwhile, especially if you like the classic formula of the saga.

The obligation to launch an annual AC played a very tricky trick on him.

3: Fallout 76

It’s impossible to talk about majestic RPGs without mentioning fallout. Bethesda knew how to take everything that makes the genre great and fuse it with various mechanics to produce legendary titles of great quality, but he also knew how to send everything down the pipe. Why do we say it? Because Fallout 76 it almost completely ruins what its predecessors did so superbly.

doFallout 3? Masterpiece. The 4? A mega chulada. doNew Vegas? Surprisingly good. So when 76 debuted, we had 2 questions: Where are the other 70? Fallouts? And why did they screw it up so loudly? One thing is that the title has been full of bugs and another is that they have made it boring, monotonous, lifeless and empty. The joke of these installments is to explore and find a thousand things, not to wander around for no reason.

The direction that Bethesda wanted to give this game is a purely online experience, so it eliminated most of the NPCs and opted for us to coexist between players. The problem is that the map is huge and without much to do; we walked for a long time and didn’t see anyone, which was frustrating and made us abandon the title and throw it away in a drawer.

Fortunately, Bethesda released the free update Wastelanders, which fixed a lot of the original problems. The main improvement is that they integrated the much requested NPCs, which added a lot of life to the world of Appalachia, West Virginia, so the story was enriched, and with the daily missions that we can complete, they invited us to dive into the game, which raised his reputation very much.

The problem is that many lost track of Fallout 76and to this day they believe that it is a punishment from God, but fortunately, the game is very accessible at present, they can play it on Game Pass or PlayStation Plus to verify that it is already up to the rest of the franchise.

We find it hard to believe that a Fallout was bad even for a while.

2: The Last of Us Part II

The Last of Us Part II is one of the most divisive games in history, and that came out just 2 years ago. We will only say that the critic gave it a 93 on Metacritic, and the users, 5.7. This is due to the immense impact of the first game as players disagreed on how the second game’s story unfolded, completely blinding their judgment.

We will try to be very careful with spoilers, but so that they understand us, an event of Part II It broke the hearts of all of us who played the first one, and that made us take heart from Abby, a new character. The problem is that some hated her more than because of her villainous character, to the extent that they seriously threatened whoever made her dubbing her in real life.

Also, these people hated that we had to play a big part of the story with Abby, arguing that her parts just killed the pace of the game, which we disagree with, as we think it’s necessary to get to know her better and it was a great resource. narrative. Apart from that, the game is excellent, it has no bugs, glitches, microtransactions or anything like that, but even so, it was very badly criticized.

Time passed, and Naughty Dog announced the remake of The Last of Us: Part I, something that infuriated many fans because they consider it unnecessary, but, a month after its debut, it has sold better than the stamps of the world cup album. For the same reason, there are people who say that playing the first led them to give the second a second chance, and now they consider it a masterpiece and the pinnacle of the PlayStation 4.

We understand if you criticize a game for bugs, glitches, malfunctions, boring story, repetitive mechanics, and other justified reasons, but doing so because of one little thing you didn’t like is a bit of a stretch. After all, The Last of Us: Part II It’s a superb title, and we hope its haters will see it with a more open mind and better appreciate its beauty.

1Halo: The Master Chief Collection

The early 2010s were tough years for fans of the Master Chief. Halo 4, despite having redeemable aspects, fell a bit short, and for many it was the first mediocre title of the franchise. But E3 2014 left us full of hope thanks to 2 announcements: that of Halo 5 and the one of the Master Chief Collection. Months passed, and that hype turned into pain.

It seemed impossible that a collection with 3 of the best games in history (and Halo 4) failed, but November 11, 2014 was a date we’ll never forget, as 343 did the unimaginable: a compilation that sucked worse than your high school buddy who ate tuna half a class. say that the Master Chief Collection It was a bit broken, the level of carelessness was so insulting, it was trashed by critics.

The subsequent release of Halo 5 It was another nail in the coffin, because the company was too busy with this game to fix all the chaos in the collection, so we thought it would stay that way, as another failure of 343 and the franchise. 2 years of silence passed until they confirmed that they would fix all their bugs, as well as add content, all hand in hand with closer communication with fans.

Thanks to Brian Jarrard, an old acquaintance of the franchise, the Master Chief Collection got on track in the best possible way thanks to 343 starting to listen to their fans. So much so, that the build came to PC with several improvements, plus they added halo reach. The PC port wasn’t perfect at first, but as the months went by, it became a great way to relive these legendary multiplayers.

343 has had a very difficult journey with the franchise, but in the Master Chief Collection they are vindicating themselves, because they listen to what the fans want. For example, it looks like they will back off their plan to add microtransactions to it because they were rejected by the community. We congratulate you on these kinds of changes, and we hope you’ll get back on track with infinite.
