The Ukrainian authorities have accused Russian troops on Sunday night of committing a new attack against Zaporizhia, in southern Ukraine.
The leader of the Zaporizhia region, Alexander Starukh, has indicated that there has been “another enemy attack” against a residential building, although for the moment he has not reported the number of victims.
“As a result of a rocket attack in the center of Zaporizhia, a multi-story residential building has been destroyed again. There are victims,” Starukh said through the Telegram social network.
Likewise, he has indicated that the emergency services “are working in the city” and the victims “are receiving the necessary help.”
“Another enemy attack! Stay in the shelters! The enemy continues to terrorize the city,” warned the region’s leader.
Starukh has also asked residents to comply with safety regulations: “Take care of yourself and your loved ones,” he added.
In this last week, supposedly Russian attacks against civilians in the Zaporizhia region have increased. This weekend, the Ukrainian authorities reported the death of between 12 and 17 dead in a bombing. In addition, on Thursday the balance of the death toll from Russian missiles increased to 19.
