Intel announced last June that graphics cards Intel Arc based on Alchemist would need Resizable BAR technology to function properly. This technology is recent and covers Intel processors from the 10th generation onwards. Last June Intel indicated the system requirements among which were its own brand processors from the tenth generation onwards along with an announcement that other platforms that support Resizable BAR may work. This has now changed to directly include AMD processors as supported.
Now directly the system requirements include the same Intel processors from the 10th generation and most Ryzen 3000 Series processorsexcluding 3000G and AMD Ryzen 5000 Series. Along with the processors it will also be necessary a motherboard with AMD 500 series chipset or higher.
Currently not included now available AMD Ryzen 7000 Series nor the recently announced Intel Raptor Lake thirteenth generation, so they will have to update this list again soon to include them. Despite including AMD, curiously follow the explanatory note that other platforms that support Resizable BAR may be compatible with Intel Arc.
The Intel Arc A7 Series will be available next day 12 along with the NVIDIA RTX 4090.
