The Police of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, has announced that it has successfully completed the evacuation tasks due to the great fire declared this Sunday in the Centarus shopping center in Islamabad.
One of the three skyscrapers that make up the shopping center, one of the most emblematic of the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, began to burn this Sunday after a fire broke out in the facility’s restaurant floor, reports Capital TV.
“All people in the shopping center have been safely evacuated. Teams are conducting a search operation inside the shopping center,” the Police said on their Twitter account.
The images captured by television show how the flames have spread beyond the lower floors and have already reached the facade of one of the 23-story skyscrapers, which serves as an area for offices and private residences.
At the moment there is no record of victims and the fire units are already working to extinguish the flames.
“Helicopters are also being called for rescue and firefighting,” added the Police, who have also issued a traffic restriction order for the area.
