PeruCRIS: Essential infrastructure for the development of open science

PeruCRIS is the name of the project being carried out by the National Council for Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (Concytec), which seeks to establish, develop and operate the National Information Network on Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (CTI), in order to consolidate and manage scientific and academic information throughout Peru, generate statistics to support decision-making at the institutional, regional, sectoral and national levels; as well as making the activities, capacities and scientific production of Peruvian researchers globally visible.

Claudia Córdova, from the Directorate of Evaluation and Knowledge Management of Concytec, presented the vision, objectives, implementation strategy, functionalities, benefits, current situation and perspectives of the Project, as well as its contribution to the development of open science.

About the rapporteur:

Claudia Córdova is in charge of the Directorate for Evaluation and Knowledge Management of the National Council for Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (Concytec) of Peru. She is an electronic engineer, graduated from a master’s degree in public management and specialized in project management. With 20 years of experience in information technology and digital government, she has participated in projects to improve the national public procurement platform, State interoperability, and electronic medical records; in the Supervisory Agency for State Procurement, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health, respectively.

She has been Manager of Training and Knowledge Management of the Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks RedCLARA and researcher of the National Telecommunications Research and Training Institute INICTEL.
