Webinar Decent work and social and solidarity economy in Latin America and the Caribbean: Advances and challenges from the Resolution of the 110th International Labor Conference of the ILO

The webinar will discuss the challenges and opportunities of the social and solidarity economy as a tool to promote decent work and sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean, in the context of the Resolution and Conclusions regarding decent work and the social and solidarity economy adopted during the 110th International Labor Conference (ILC) of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in June 2022. The instance will discuss the growing international boost of the SSE, and will include the participation of experts, SSE coordination organizations, and political leaders from the countries of the region. This instance will be an opportunity to learn about different points of view and enrich global discussions with a perspective from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The webinar is organized by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), with the collaboration of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Development Coordination Office for the Latin American and Caribbean region ( DCO LAC), and the Intercontinental Network for the Promotion of the Social and Solidarity Economy (RIPESS) in the framework of the activities of the United Nations Interinstitutional Working Group on the Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE).
