Detected a bug that slows down file transfers in Windows 11

Oct. 5 (Portaltic/EP) –

microsoft has confirmed that a reported error in Windows 11 can affect system performance and reduce up to 40 percent speed of file transfer.

One of the directors of Microsoft Windows Server, ned pylehas reported through the company’s blog that this ‘bug’ has been reported in version 22H2 of said operating system.

Specifically, Pyle has commented that computers that have this latest Windows 11 update may have lower performance in transferring large files, that is, several GB.

That way, copying large images, documents, or videos can be up to 40 percent slower on computers that have the most current version of your operating system.

The programmer has stressed that the error is not in the network protocol for sharing files and printers in Windows (SMB, for its acronym in English) and that the slowdown is greater in the kernel.

To fix this problem, it has recommended running the ‘robocopy’ and ‘xcopy’ commands with the /J parameter, in order to restore the performance prior to this Windows 11 update, available since last September.
