The British Labor Party shoots up to 50 percent of voting intention in the polls

Oct. 3 () –

The Labor Party would achieve 50 percent of the vote in a hypothetical election, thus doubling the ruling Conservative Party, according to the latest poll released Monday by Savanta ComRes.

The survey thus predicts 25 percent support for the conservatives of the current prime minister, Liz Truss, and 11 percent support for the Liberal Democrat Party, according to the British channel Sky News.

“It is by a very comfortable difference our highest percentage of the Labor vote and the greatest Labor advantage,” said Chris Hopkins, director of political research at the demographic company responsible for the study.

The survey has been prepared from interviews conducted between September 30 and October 2, in the midst of controversy over the presentation of a “mini-budget” with significant tax cuts for the richest.

This Monday the Truss government has backed down and announced that it will maintain the 45 percent income tax bracket for the richest.
