Sep. 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least two children were killed and six other civilians were injured on Tuesday in an artillery attack carried out by the Turkish Army against the Syrian town of Musheirfat Zarkan, located in Hasaka province (northeast).
Local sources quoted by the Syrian state news agency, SANA, have indicated that the Turkish forces also attacked the towns of Dada Abdal, Al Nueihat and Um Harmala, causing material damage but leaving no victims.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in London and informants in the Arab country, has indicated that the attack also left eight wounded and has added that a member of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) was wounded in another attack in Abo Rasen.
Turkey has launched multiple offensives against the Kurdish-Syrian militia People’s Protection Units (YPG) –the main element of the SDF– in northern Syria with the support of the rebel Syrian Liberation Army (SLA) and has criticized Washington for its I support the SDF, which has claimed that these attacks undermine their efforts against Islamic State.
