Moreno warns that the possible pardon for Griñán “would undermine the credibility” of Justice: “This is not serious”
The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juan Manuel Moreno, has warned this Monday that the possible pardon of the former Andalusian socialist president José Antonio Griñán, convicted of the ‘ERE case’, could “reduce credibility” to the Justice, although it has been shown understandable with the “human reasons” alleged by the family to request this measure of grace.
During his speech at a colloquium in Madrid of the Joly Group, in which he was presented by the national leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Moreno spoke in this way about the possible pardon of the former socialist leader after the petition formalized before the Ministry of Justice for the family has already reached 4,000 signatures.
In this context, he recalled that, despite the fact that the focus is being placed on Griñán, there are about a hundred open cases in the ERE process. For this reason, he has wondered what an average citizen will think when he sees, as he has said, that a government of the same color pardons his former leader in Andalusia. “It takes credibility away from Justice”, has proclaimed the current president of the Andalusian Government, who has denounced that “this is not serious” and that it affects the State in “terms of credibility”.
