Sep. 17 () –
Estrella Galicia celebrated this Friday the 20th anniversary of its presence in Uruguay, the second largest per capita consumer of beer after Spain.
The brewery arrived in South America for the first time thanks to the Pontyn distributor, owned by the Rama family, Galician emigrants who bet on the product and who have positioned Estrella Galicia as the benchmark imported beer in Uruguay. The goal is to close this year with 2 million liters sold.
The celebration of this anniversary in Uruguay has also brought together Estrella Galicia distributors and importers from countries throughout South America who attended the company’s first LATAM convention in which they jointly evaluated the development expectations in the area, in which it hopes increase its sales by 25% in this year 2022.
Distributors of the brand from all markets such as Argentina, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile or Brazil, among others, attended Montevideo.
More than 300 personalities from Uruguayan society attended this great celebration event that took place in Kibon, in a party that featured a gastronomic and musical pairing between Galician and Uruguayan.
“Uruguayans have perfectly understood our value proposition, our artisan DNA that cares above all for the product. For this, we have had the best ambassadors, the Rama family, with whom we share origins and family values. We are very excited with the prospects that South America offers us, and specifically Uruguay, a place where we have always felt at home,” said the executive president of Corporación Hijos de Rivera, Ignacio Rivera.
