Neoverse V2, codenamed “Demeter”, are the new ARM cores for the new platform for high-performance servers and data centers. It combines state-of-the-art V-Series cores with Maya’s ARM CMN-700 interconnect system.

One of the companies that will adopt this new platform is NVIDIA, since its supercomputing and artificial intelligence-oriented Grace processors will be based on the Neoverse V2 platform, combined with LPDDR5X memories.

Grace will feature two interconnected 72-core V2 chiplets under one chip.

The use of this ARM architecture allows them to offer twice the performance per Watt than solutions based on traditional architectures such as X86.

The NeoVerse V2 are the newest release within ARM’s high-performance V-Series platform for servers. They support DDR5, PCI Express 5.0 and CXL 2.0. It will be followed later by the Poseidon “V-Next” platform with PCI Express 6.0, DDR5 and CXL 3.0, scheduled for release next year.

ARM has also revealed its roadmap for its Neoverse N-Series lines for performance with greater efficiency, and E-Series, designed for maximum efficiency. The current N-Series are represented by the platform with N2 cores, but by the year they will arrive N-Next. As for the E-Series. The current cores on which it is based are the Cortex-A510, to make the leap to the next generation in 2023.
