During Tokyo Game Show 2022, Bandai Namco shared good news for fans of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The title will receive new content as part of its Season Pass 2 and, in addition, it can be enjoyed on more platforms, as it is on its way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Fans of the franchise have reason to be excited, as the new content pass will focus on the story of Bardock, Goku’s father. The wait to enjoy the DLC and the new generation version will be a bit long, as both releases are planned for next year.

These news are on their way to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

The title will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S sometime in 2023. Bandai Namco has not yet revealed an exact release date or detailed all the improvements that this port will have on next-generation systems.

We know that the title will have a higher level of visual detail, a more complete world with more elements on the screen and better built environments. Reduced loading times are also expected.

On the other hand, we know that the first content of the new Season Pass will be called “Additional Scenario: -Bardock- Alone Against Fate” and will recreate the animated special Bardock: Father of Goku. Thus, we will see Goku’s father face the forces of Frieza.

The DCL does not have a release date either, but it will also arrive sometime in 2023. You can see its first trailer below, where we see Bardock: about to face the forces of his deadly enemy.
