ASIA TODAY Tajikistan – Kyrgyzstan: new clashes on the border

TAJIKISTAN – KYRGYZSTAN

Tajik forces are attacking Kyrgyz outposts along the entire border and Kyrgyz troops return fire, the Kyrgyz border guard service said today. A gas pipeline that runs to China will replace the Nord Stream II with which it was planned to reach EuropeRussian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said yesterday. The minister added that Russia and China will soon sign agreements for the supply of “50,000 million cubic meters of gas” per year through a gas pipeline, the Force Siberia, which will pass through Mongolia and whose construction would begin in 2024.

INDIA – SRI LANKA

India does not plan to provide further financial aid to Sri Lanka after the almost 4,000 million dollars disbursed this year.
