At least five people have died and seven have been injured due to the collapse of a building in the Jordanian capital, Amman, as confirmed by the authorities, without the causes of the event being clarified for now.
The Public Security Directorate has indicated that three bodies have been recovered from the rubble in recent hours, while search and rescue work continues at the site, located in Jabal al Ueibdé, according to the Jordanian state news agency, Petra. .
Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Jasauné visited the area late on Tuesday and ordered the authorities to open an investigation to clarify the cause of the collapse. Also, he asked the rescue teams “maximum efforts” in the search and rescue tasks.
