Fortnite: how to avoid headshots with a headless character has everyone worried

Fortnite Chapter 3: tricks to avoid lag in your games

The most efficient combat in Fortnite is when you do headshots to your enemies. With the damage multiplier active, players can take out multiple opponents to the finish with just a few shots. However, since the opponents are constantly on the move, hitting the target is quite difficult and even more so now that a new trick has been released to disguise the design of the head.

A Reddit user has found the best way to avoid getting shot in the head in Fortnite…and it’s headless. MarquisDeSarc posted a video of a headless player wearing the Geometrik outfit dancing in the lobby during pre-game. This is quite strange, since there are no skins that feature a headless character.

Although one would believe that they have hacked Fortnite, it is unlikely to be so. It would be impossible to alter the encoding and remove a character’s head in the game. In all likelihood, it may be a graphical glitch. So does this mean the player will still take damage from headshots? Okay, yes.

Even if the head is not cosmetically loaded, the hitboxes will still be present. However, it can be argued that losing one’s head can potentially give someone an advantage in Fortnite. They can easily hide behind low objects without being seen and avoid detection from afar.
