The thirty-ninth session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from October 24 to 26, 2022.
The session is the most important intergovernmental conference in terms of guiding the work of the Commission. As such, it offers a forum to analyze the most relevant issues for the economic and social development of the countries of the region and examine the progress of the Commission’s activities.
Argentina entry and exit requirements
Every person arriving in Argentina must be in possession of a valid national passport and the corresponding visa issued by the Argentine authorities, when necessary.
Persons who have nationality corresponding to countries bordering the Argentine Republic may enter the country with an Identity Document. If you have any questions, contact the consulate of the Argentine Republic in your country as soon as possible.
Countries that need to apply for a visa to enter the Argentine Republic: Holders of common, official or diplomatic passports who need to process visas to attend the aforementioned event should contact the Argentine Consular Office in their country. For more information on the type of visa required, you can access the following link: https://www.argentina.gob.ar/interior/migraciones/entrada-y-exida-del-pais. Participants are requested to keep the entry form that will be issued to them upon arrival in Argentina. The same will be requested by the immigration authorities when leaving the country.
COVID-19 Requirements
Non-resident foreigners who enter the country must:
- Complete the Affidavit required by the National Directorate of Migration at least 48 hours before the trip: https://ddjj.migraciones.gob.ar/app/home.php
- Submit COVID-19 health insurance (Coverage for hospitalization, isolation and/or medical transfer services).
People who have an incomplete vaccination schedule are recommended to undergo a diagnostic test within 24 hours after entering the country.

The thirty-ninth session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean will be held in the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK). The opening ceremony will take place in the National Auditorium (floor 2) and the other sessions in the fourth mezzanine of the CCK.

In Argentina, the no show policy is applied, according to which any reservation can be canceled up to 24 hours before the arrival of the passenger; otherwise, the first night will be charged. Each delegate will directly pay the corresponding hotel bill at the end of their stay.
