There are not a few users who have seen how Microsoft was massively refunding pre-orders for the upcoming STALKER 2 release, a game developed by GSC Game World, located in Ukraine. As we already know, there is currently a conflict in Ukraine which, among many other things, has caused an indefinite delay in the release of this game.
How can we read WCCFTechthe company has spoken out to explain that these mass refunds are due precisely to this delay, because when they announced it at the Microsoft Extended E3 Show, they did not give a specific release date, something that contravenes the policies of the Microsoft store.
The company’s procedure is that when a title misses its expected release date and does not provide a new date, as has been the case, reservations made are refunded to all buyers. Additionally, as has also been observed, the possibility of making new reservations is eliminated.
In any case, this would mean that there is no new delay, but that procedures are simply being followed that exist to avoid certain problems with some developers, especially in cases where the studio goes bankrupt and never gets to release the game.
