The format will consist of an opening plenary session, thematic discussions on security, energy, economy and mobility, as well as bilateral meetings and a dinner to close the plenary.

In any case, the situation in Ukraine and the energy crisis will take all the attention in a meeting in which the EU leaders will be able to discuss the situation with leaders such as the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the new British prime minister, Liz Truss, in a political framework beyond NATO.

This forum was formally approved at the last EU summit in June, at the proposal of the French president, Emmanuel Macron, and from the outset it has had the support of the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, who has defended that in no case This political community seeks to replace the policy of accession to the EU and which will serve to advance the European path of the candidate states.
