Workshop “Measurement and analysis of international trade from a gender perspective”

The Regional Integration Unit of the International Trade and Regional Integration Division together with the Andean Community of Nations and the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries of Ecuador held the workshop “Measurement and analysis of international trade from a perspective of Gender” as part of the activities organized by Ecuador as Pro-Tempore President of the CAN.

The workshop covered the fundamentals of Input-Output analysis, the calculation of indicators related to production chains, vertical integration and added value, ending with an application on export employment and gender using ECLAC’s Input-Output Matrices.

The workshop was held at the headquarters of the Andean Community with the participation of officials from the Andean Community Secretariat, the Foreign Ministry, Statistics Institutes, Central Banks and the Ministry of Commerce of the member countries.
