The pro-Russian authorities of the city of energizewhich houses the nuclear power plant of Zaporizhia, have announced this Saturday the suspension of the supply of electrical energy to the Ukrainian network due to “technical difficulties”. The center provides a fifth of the country’s electricity consumption.
“The specialists stationed there have reported that due to the technical characteristics the electricity generated by reactors. The supply of electricity to the territories controlled by Ukraine has been suspended due to technical difficulties,” the pro-Russian civil-military administration of Enerdogar said on its Telegram channel, according to the Russian news agency Interfax.
Specifically, they denounce the damage caused by Ukrainian bombing who are already being treated by specialists. This is how they have reported damage to two of the plant’s lines.

Reactors 5 and 6 at the plant continue to function normally and some 900 or 1,000 megawatts. Radiation is at normal levels.
The Russian and Ukrainian authorities have accused each other of endangering the Zaporizhia plant with artillery shelling and the international organization of Atomic Energy (IAEA) has sent an inspection mission to assess the situation.
this same saturday Moscow has reported a nocturnal assault attempt by Ukrainian forces on the nuclear power plant that would have been repelled and in which 47 members of the Ukrainian amphibious assault group would have died.
The Zaporizhia plant is the largest in Europe and has six reactors commissioned between 1984 and 1995. It has been controlled by Russian forces since March this year, shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began.
