Medical contingencies are inevitable and sometimes happen when our economy is not in good shape, which leads us to resort to other methods to attend to the emergency in the hope of the best. Many players have experienced this situation firsthand, and it is not uncommon to see posts selling consoles or collections for personal reasons. The most recent case is that of a player who did the same to save his pet.

This gamer sold his Switch games to save his kitten’s life
A report from our friends at Tarreo shared the case of Chilean player Vicente Ortega, who put his Switch games up for sale to get enough money to cover the treatment of his sick kitten. The post on Facebook shows the bundle of games for the hybrid console and the mascot to show that it was something real. The goal at that time was to collect $220,000 CLP, the equivalent of $5,000 MXN, to take his cat to the vet to save her.
The community responded and the kitten was saved
Fortunately, the response from the community was as expected, as some players immediately asked about the Switch titles, while others asked for this gamer’s data to be able to deposit an amount in support of their kitten. The player initially pointed out that he felt uncomfortable receiving money like this, so he kept with the idea of obtaining it with the sale of his games, however, the community prevailed.
The best thing was that the situation was adequate because the report indicates that the medical expenses in the end were higher than expected, but they were fully covered. The good news is that the kitten appears to be safe, and the player noted in a later post that the pet will need lifelong treatment, but he has great hope of staying alive and healthy for many years to come.
