day 188 of war in Ukraine.
The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, accused Russia on Tuesday of not stopping the “provocations” in the places where the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) must pass to reach the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

“The situation in the ZNPP (Zaporijia nuclear power plant) and in Enerhodar, in the vicinity, remains extremely threatening. The occupants do not leave the plant, continue to bomb and do not remove their weapons and ammunition from the territory of the nuclear power plant. They intimidate our plant staff. The risk of a radiation disaster due to Russian actions does not decrease for a single hour,” Zelensky said in his usual late-night address.
He recalled that IAEA representatives have already arrived in Ukraine and will visit the nuclear power plant. “It’s an important mission and we’re doing everything we can to make it safe. and operate at full capacity,” he said.

“Unfortunately, Russia does not stop provocations in precisely those directions from which the mission is supposed to reach the station. But I hope that the IAEA mission can start its work,” he added.
Only Ukraine, according to Zelensky, can guarantee that all processes at the plant will be carried out according to standards and under control. “Russia just doesn’t need it,” he said.
