Logitech G and Tencent Games work in a new portable console that supports the game in the cloud of services such as Xbox or Nvidia, and whose design reflects the trend seen in the hardware of companies such as Nintendo.

The ‘gaming’ division of the electronic manufacturer Logitech and Tencent Games announced in early August their collaboration in the development of a new portable console cloud based gamingwhich will allow access to AAA titles.

Now, Evan Blassa well-known leaker in the technology sector, has shared on his official Twitter account the three first pictures of this console which it collects under the name of Logitech G Gaming, in which the inclusion of the Google Play Store and the similarity of its design with Nintendo Switch stand out.

The design of the console stands out for its similarities with the Nintendo Switch, as can be seen in the images shared by Blass. Its predominant color is the targetexcept for the ‘joysticks’ and the triggers that appear in black and what looks like a start button with the Logitech G logo, in fluorescent yellow.

The screen is the main protagonist, and appears escorted by two asymmetrical ‘joysticks’, precisely like those of the Nintendo handheld and not like Steam Deckthe recent approximation of Valve to these types of devices.

The Logitech G Gaming also includes a D-pad to the left of the panel and one to the right, representing the A, B, X, and Y buttons, again in the same layout as on the Nintendo machine.

At the bottom right is what appears to be a button. Start and, at the top there are two more buttons, probably to pause the game session and access the options menu, as well as control the volume.

On the back, apart from the two triggers along with two additional buttons, there is a rough surface designed to make it easier to grip the console. There is also a kind of slot for cards that expand the memory of the device.

At the ‘software’ level, which is the section that Tencent Games is in charge of, the user interface is also similar to that of Switch due to the landscape and horizontal layout of its services, among which stand out Google Play Store, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now and Steamin addition to chrome and youtube.

In the upper left corner there are some icons that seem to indicate access to the user’s profile and settings, among other functions. In the upper right part, the time, the different connectivities (Bluetooth and WiFi, in this case) and the battery of the device are shown.

Logitech G Gaming handheld console expected to go on sale later this year although the exact date and its starting price are still unknown.
