A 21-year-old man has lost his life this Monday after being stabbed while he was at the Notting Hill Carnival, which was celebrating its first edition after two years without celebrations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The London Metropolitan Police has detailed in a statement that around 8:00 p.m. on Monday, officers realized that there was a man wounded with a stab on Ladbroke Grove road, under an overpass.
After providing the young man with emergency aid until the arrival of the paramedics, the Police managed to get him out through the crowds that roamed the streets celebrating the carnival. He was later transferred from an ambulance to a west London hospital where, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he has been pronounced dead.
“Unfortunately, on Monday night we saw a series of violent incidents and a 21-year-old man lost his life (…) A murder investigation is underway, led by homicide detectives from the Ministry’s Specialized Crime Command. of Defense”, has detailed the Metropolitan Police of the London capital.
