LG shows its UltraGear 45GR95QE monitor with 21:9 curved OLED panel at 240 Hz

The two new LG monitors come in two very different flavors: the 45GR95QE is for gamers and the 32UQ890 is more conventional.

LG has taken advantage of the IFA 2022 fair, which we are attending live in Berlin, to show two new monitors. As BenQ has done at Gamescom 2022, one of LG’s monitors is high-performance, it is the LG Ultra Gear 45GR95QE. This 45″ model opts for the 21:9 format with resolution 3440×1440 and incorporates an OLED panel capable of reaching 240 Hz. The monitor maintains a 800R curvature and has a response time of 0.1 ms. It has HDR10 and achieves a color coverage of 98.5% in DCI-P3. In addition, it incorporates two HDMI 2.1 connectors, a DisplayPort 1.4 and 3x USB 3.0. This model uses a panel that is remarkably similar to the one used in Corsair’s new flexible monitor, which is made by LG.

The other monitor shown is the LG UltraFine 32UQ890which has a 31.5″ diagonal and IPS panel with 4K resolution. It also achieves HDR10 certification but it is not curved, and its refresh rate remains at 60 Hz. The panel covers 95% of the DCI-P3 range. It has the same connections as the previous one but the HDMI is 2.0, although it comes with integrated speakers.

At the age of 15 I started overclocking my PC to squeeze out every extra FPS I could in games and scratch a few milliseconds in SuperPi, while posting tirelessly about hardware on the Geeknetic forum as a user and reader. Surely they were so tired of continually reading me in the forum that I became part of the editorial team, in which I continue to report on the latest technology. Astrophysics and PC gaming are the hobbies that, after hardware, cover most of my free time.
