Is Young Rent continuing? This is what Gustavo Bolivar said about the 2025 subsidies

After the Congress will not approve the Financing Law for 2025, the ‘Youth Income’ program was on the tightrope. But the director of the Department for Social Prosperity, Gustavo Bolivar gave an update on this line of action. This is what he had to say about this year’s subsidies.

Through a publication in X, the official maintained that he returned from an ‘unpaid leave’, which is why he was away from the public sphere in recent days. In this sense, he clarified some doubts for what is coming in the new year.

“My team and I started an intense national tour forto organize 20,000 cooperatives with a view to promoting credit with a subsidized ratetheir entrepreneurial initiatives. In this new stage of the DPS, the popular associative economy will be the way to defeat poverty through self-generation of income,” he stressed.

and about Renta Joven assured that the resources for the first six months of 2025 are already available. “For the 486 thousand students of Young Income We already guarantee the resources for the 1st semester. We continue looking for resources for the 2nd semester,” he indicated.

“The transfers from now on will be for those people who cannot work. The elderly, children and people with disabilities. Jóvenes en Paz will cover payments to 10,000 young people this year“he added.

Finally, he called to ‘complain to Congress’ for ‘blocking the financing’ of President Gustavo Petro’s government.

“Don’t kill me, it’s our fiscal situation. I don’t print bills. I only receive guidelines. Reclammen to Congress and to those who block any attempt to finance the Petro government, because it is Petro’s government,” he concluded.

Youth Portal: until when changes and updates can be managed

From the “X” account of Renta Joven, The authorities reported that they can now manage “changes in the training program, high school graduation (for young people in suspended status), lifting of postponed status, and more on the Youth Portal.” In addition, they indicated that those who must make modifications have until January 10
