Thousands of Israelis have taken to the streets of the country’s main cities one more Saturday to demand from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an agreement for the release of the hostages kidnapped in the Gaza Strip.
The largest concentration has once again been in Tel Aviv, where relatives of kidnapped people and sympathizers have gathered in front of the Armed Forces headquarters.
“It is clear to us that at this moment those who do not want to end the war are going to try to frustrate the agreement. Ayala Metzger, stepdaughter of the dead hostage Yoram Metzger, has also asked for an agreement and not “receiving the hostages in bags.” “We do not want to send more soldiers to lose their lives to remove bodies. This week the Tel Aviv Police declared after the events that the protest had been dissolved, which is why they urged the crowd to disband when it was on Begin Street, in front of the headquarters of the Israeli Armed Forces. At least two people have been arrested.
