MADRID Jan. 9 () –

The pro-Russian authorities established in the occupied area of the Ukrainian province of Kherson have reported this Thursday that at least two civilians have died in an attack carried out by Ukrainian forces in the region that Moscow considers part of its territory in the framework of the invasion of Ukraine.

The pro-Russian governor, Vladimir Saldo, has indicated that six other people have been injured as a result of this attack, as reported on his Telegram account, in which he has indicated that the injured are hospitalized.

Likewise, he stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have deliberately bombed the cities of Abrikosovka and Podo-Kalinovka, both in the aforementioned region, although the Russian forces continue to carry out their operations on Ukrainian territory.

Kherson, along with Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhia, all of them partially occupied within the framework of the invasion, were annexed in October 2022 by Russia, a measure not recognized by the international community that was added to the annexation in 2014 of the Crimean peninsula by Moscow.
