The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported this Wednesday that three more of its soldiers have died, victims of clashes with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the north of the Gaza Strip within the framework of the offensive on the enclave after the attacks of October 7, 2023.
Military authorities have identified two of the deceased as Matityahu Yaakov Perel and Kanaoo Kassa, both 22-year-old sergeants; while no further details have been known about the third victim, although it has been announced that all of them were part of the 46th Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade.
On the other hand, the Israeli Army has reported that three other soldiers have been injured in the same incident. At the moment the circumstances under which the event occurred are unknown, as well as the exact location in northern Gaza where it was recorded.
With these latest deaths, there are now nearly 830 Israeli soldiers killed in incidents related to the war in the Gaza Strip, unleashed after the initial attacks by Hamas against Israeli territory on October 7, 2023, an episode in which more have already died. of 300 members of the IDF.
The bloody Israeli military response has already claimed the lives of nearly 46,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, but also thousands of members of Hamas and a large part of its leadership and senior commanders, such as Yahya Sinwar, murdered in mid-October in the town of Rafá, in the south of the enclave.
