Designed to a certain extent to provide some of the versatility of the Yoga Book 9i but without incorporating two hinged screens, this laptop can go from 14 to 16.7 inches by extending vertically, so that it practically increases the surface of its screen by 50% to simulate a kind of superimposed multi-monitor system.
To do this, it uses an OLED panel signed by Samsung whose resolution ranges between 2000 x 2350 and 2000 x 23350 depending on its condition. At the touch of a button (and thus avoiding mechanically inconsistent manual operation) the screen is retracted or extended in about 10 seconds using a telescopic frame.
When folded up, the Yoga Book 9i is like any other laptop, but open it is almost as if it had a second screen on top, considerably improving its productive potential when working while holding conferences or managing text and images at the same time in a more agile way. . Otherwise, the screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 space, has a refresh rate at 120 Hz and the brightness has been measured at 400 nits.
The rest of the technical specifications are at the level of any professional laptop of a certain category. The list of processors peaks at a Core Ultra 7 Series 2, provides up to 32 GB of RAM and the SSD can have a maximum of 1 TB. The battery is also 66 Whr and is charged from a USB-C connector (there are also two Thunderbolt 4 and a 3.5 mm minijack). The thickness of the equipment is 19.9 mm and it weighs 1.69 kg.
The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 will go on sale in the United States with a base price of $3,499.
