Curved panels in gaming screens have been with us for years. This technology allows a greater immersion in diagonals with a certain size, since it allows reducing the viewing angle necessary to cover the entire panel, although its use on screens with limited diagonals usually corresponds more to marketing than to something functional.

Now, Corsair has wanted to go one step further, and although its entry into the monitor market is recent with models such as the Corsair Xeneon 32QHD165, it has just presented a pioneer monitor in the market, the Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240.

Thanks to the use of a flexible LG OLED panel, the Xeneon Flex can curve in real time to function as a flat monitor or a curved monitor with a bend radius up to 800R. To do this, it includes drop-down handles from which you can fold it manually.

The OLED panel has a 45-inch diagonal in 21:9 ultra-wide format and offers a resolution of 3,440 x 1,400 pixels. Thanks to OLED technology, it can boast virtually infinite contrast and response times of 0.03 milliseconds.

It reaches 240 Hz of variable refresh rate, compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD Freesync, as well as protection systems to prevent pixel burning.

The first prototypes of Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240 will be seen in the gamescom this week, although we will not know more details until the end of 2022.
