The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmerdefended himself this Monday against accusations from tycoon Elon Musk regarding a case of child abuse from more than ten years ago. The founder of Tesla has even accused Starmer of being “complicit” in the “largest mass crime committed in the history of the United Kingdom”, words that Starmer has described as “lies and misinformation.”
In this first week of 2025, Musk has been especially active on his social network, X, to point out a scandal that shocked the United Kingdom more than 10 years ago. A 2022 independent report commissioned by the Government revealed that between 2010 and 2014, at least 1,400 girls who were under the guardianship of social protection services suffered sexual abuse at the hands of organized groups, mostly men of Pakistani origin.
It turns out that in recent years the slowness with which the competent authorities have acted against the minors’ case has been criticized. And precisely the current prime minister was then (between 2008 and 2013) at the head of the Crown Prosecution Servicethe equivalent of the Attorney General’s Office of Spain. The case has also sparked many conspiracy theories.
“Starmer was complicit in the violation of the United Kingdom when he headed the Crown Prosecution Service for six years,” Musk posted on X. “Starmer must resign and face prosecution for his complicity in the worst mass crime committed in the history of Britain,” he added.
Starmer also defended the British Secretary of State this Monday Jess Phillips of the American tycoon’s accusations.
In a speech given by Starmer in the English county of Surrey in front of health workers to detail changes in public health, the chief executive was asked about the recent messages posted by Musk on his social network “imprison” to Phillips for his response to the gangs that sexually abuse children in this country.

The attacks began after Phillips rejected a call for the Government to lead a public inquiry into child exploitation activity detected in the English town of Oldham.

“Those who are attacking Jess Phillipswho I am proud to call a colleague and friend, are not protecting victims. “Jess Phillips has done a thousand times more than anyone could ever dream of when it comes to protecting victims of sexual abuse,” he noted.
Starmer further added that these attacks against his colleague seek to “promote intimidation and threats of violence, trusting that the media will amplify it.”
