MADRID Jan. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
This Monday, a group of settlers attacked the towns of Haye and Farata, east of the West Bank city of Qalquilia, after three Israelis were killed, including a police officer, following a shootout near the settlement of Kedumim.
The settlers have set fire to at least one car, while another assault has also been reported in the town of Aby Nuyaim, southeast of Bethlehem, according to the WAFA news agency. For the moment, the Israeli Army has not commented on the matter.
The shooting, which left at least eight others injured, took place in the West Bank town of Al Funduk – near Haye and Farata – against a bus and two other vehicles that were traveling on Route 55 that runs through the town.
No armed group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, although Israeli military sources have informed the ‘Times of Israel’ that the suspects in the shooting are three Palestinians who have fled.
