The Australian authorities have charged a man with “animal cruelty” after the discovery of nearly a hundred dead kangaroos in the Hunter Valley, located in New South Wales (east), as the Police revealed this Friday .
“A man has been charged with animal cruelty crimes that allegedly took place in the Hunter Valley,” the New South Wales Police said in a statement, in which it stressed that 98 kangaroos were found dead on October 8 in the area next to an ammo box.
Thus, he stated that these materials were seized in preparation for the opening of an investigation, which led to the arrest of the suspect on December 20 at his home in Williamtown, where three firearms were seized.
The man, 43 years old and whose identity has not been revealed at the moment, has been released on bail and has been ordered to appear on January 13, 2025 before a court in the town of Raymond Terrace, located in this same Australian state. .
