ECLAC presents Platform of Cluster Initiatives and other Territorial Productive Articulation Initiatives to institutions in Panama

Last Tuesday, November 26, the Productive and Business Development Division met with different institutions in Panama to present its work plan around the promotion of Cluster Initiatives and other Territorial Productive Articulation Initiatives.

Organizations such as the Ministry of Agricultural Development, the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, the Panamanian Association of Business Executives, the Competitiveness Center of the Central Region and the Technological University of Panama, among other organizations; participated in the meeting in which Marco Dini, Economic Affairs Officer of the division, presented the Platform for Cluster Initiatives and other Productive Articulation Initiatives (IAPT) and the interactive map that so far registers more than 350 initiatives throughout Latin America and The Caribbean.

To conclude the meeting, ECLAC invited Panamanian institutions to join the IAPT Platform, offering its support to facilitate their integration and exchange of experience with the other participating entities. In addition, if a national meeting on the subject is organized, ECLAC specialists would give a talk about the importance of the productive coordination approach for productive development.
