Apple partners with these airlines so you never lose your suitcase again thanks to the AirTag

suitcases

One of the worst experiences you can experience during a flight is losing your suitcase. In addition to being a frustrating situation, it wastes too much time because you have to wait for your luggage to be located, fill out forms, and much more.

So that this never happens to you again, Apple has announced an alliance with different airlines around the world to avoid this situation. With the release of iOS 18.2, the company has implemented a new feature in the app Look for.

Now, you can generate temporary links to the location of your tracked items, such as an AirTag placed in your luggage. This link can be shared directly with compatible airlines, allowing them to locate your suitcase quickly.

The idea is quite simple, but effective, since when you detect that your suitcase has not arrived at the luggage carousel, you can generate a link from the Search app on the iPhone. This link, which contains AirTag location is shared with the airline team.

They, through their systems and staff at the airports, can use this information to search for your bag more precisely, without having to resort to blind search methods or wait for the airline’s baggage system to automatically detect it. .

Airlines allowing you to share baggage tracking with AirTags

At the moment, There are 18 airlines that offer full compatibility with this Apple feature. Among them are prominent names in the sector, which guarantees extensive coverage:

  • Air Lingus
  • Air Canada
  • Air New Zealand
  • Austrian Airlines
  • British Airways
  • Brussels Airlines
  • Delta Air Lines
  • Eurowings
  • Iberia
  • KLM
  • Lufthansa
  • Qantas
  • Singapore Airlines
  • Swiss International Air Lines
  • Turkish Airlines
  • United
  • Virgin Atlantic
  • Vueling

Although this is the initial list, more airlines are expected to implement this technology in the future, expanding the usefulness of AirTags to even more users.

Thanks to the precision of this small gadgetcombined with the capabilities of iOS 18.2, passengers now have a tool to never lose their luggage again.

If you are an iPhone user and have an AirTag, updating your device to the latest version of the system, this feature can make a big difference in your next travel experience.
