The year is about to end and the increase in the minimum wage remains undefined just two and a half weeks before 2025. The conversations between the representatives of the workers and businessmen, so far, they have not borne fruit, because they have not reached any agreement.
This is due, in large part, to the fact that workers expect and insist that the increase be double digits, as happened in 2023, however, employers maintain that this cannot exceed the growth of the economy of the country, which is projected to not exceed 1.8%.

How much would the increase be?
In this case, if an agreement is reached on a increase of at least 12%, For example, this means that the increase in the minimum wage would remain in $156,000.
That is, to the current legal minimum wage (SMLV) $1,300,000, said amount would be added and the SML would be of $1,456,000.
However, in the midst of the ‘tug of war’ at the negotiating table, it is very likely that this will not happen and, on the contrary, the increase will be less than $150,000, because the increase could be only 5%, that is, $65,000.
