MADRID Dec. 15 () –
The board of directors of Telefónica Brazil has approved a remuneration for its shareholders of 1,020 million Brazilian reals (161.2 million euros), which will be distributed in contributions of 0.6255 Brazilian reals (0.098 euros).
The total gross figure rises to 1,200 million Brazilian reais (about 190 million euros). However, this amount has a 15% withholding, which brings the figure to 1,020 million Brazilian reais.
Furthermore, the amount could suffer adjustments, considering the company’s shareholding base, which will be verified on December 26 based on the eventual acquisition of shares within the Telefónica Brasil share buyback program, which is currently in force.
Payment will take place on December 26. From this date, the shares will be considered ‘ex-data’, as explained by the company in a statement.
Telefónica Brasil, which operates in the country as Vivo, obtained an attributed net profit of 3,785 million reais (602 million euros at the current exchange rate) in the accumulated of the first three quarters of the year, 10.38% more than the 3,429 million reais (545.5 million euros) from the same period of the previous year.
