MADRID Dec. 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Army reported this Thursday that its Air Force has carried out an attack in southern Lebanon against an area where several “terrorists” from the Lebanese Shiite party-militia Hezbollah were congregating and whose operations would represent a violation of the ceasefire agreement.

“An Air Force plane today attacked several terrorists from the terrorist organization Hezbollah who were operating in southern Lebanon and posed a threat to the residents of Israel, violating the agreements between Israel and Lebanon,” the Defense Forces said. of Israel (FDI) on their social networks.

This Israeli operation also represents a violation of the agreement reached at the end of November, although the IDF has clarified that “they remain committed to the understandings received on the ceasefire in Lebanon” but that they “will work to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel and its citizens”.

Israel and Hezbollah reached a ceasefire agreement on November 27 under which the two were to withdraw from southern Lebanon and make way for the regular Lebanese Army, which would be responsible for guaranteeing Israel’s security. Since then, both have accused each other of violating the pact.
