Sánchez conveys to Bildu his willingness to extend anti-crisis aid that expires this year

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has conveyed to EH Bildu his willingness to prepare a regulatory package that extends some of the current anti-crisis aid that expires this year, such as public transport bonuses or the anti-eviction moratorium.

In the control session this Wednesday, the spokesperson for EH Bildu, Mertxe Aizpurúa, questioned the president to comment that this aid has provided “a cushion for thousands and thousands of people” and has become a support network that cannot be can allow it to disappear.

“The duty of the forces represented here and also of their Government must be to work for what is important, and what is important is to offer guarantees to citizens and improve people’s living conditions,” said the nationalist, who made special mention to maintain through a new decree the prohibition of cuts in basic supplies and evictions for vulnerable people without housing alternatives and transportation aid.

Likewise, the president has highlighted that the Government has invested 28% more in social policies than the previous Administration during an equivalent period, while highlighting that pensions have been raised by an average of 2,000 euros, it has been raised by 400 euros monthly minimum wage and household disposable income have grown by 5.3% in recent years.

At the closing of the intervention, the Bildu spokesperson responded to Sánchez that “she was expecting a more concrete response”, since January 1 “is just around the corner” and what people need “are certainties.”
