Apple is preparing a new health feature for the Apple Watch, according to Bloomberg. Samsung was years ahead

It is no secret that the monitoring of various health parameters is one of the strengths of the Apple Watch. The Cupertino company has been improving this section between generations, but some functions have not yet arrived.

Rival products like the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7 are capable of measuring blood pressure, something the Apple Watch has never offered. Now Apple is preparing to incorporate this function, according to Mark Gurman.

Apple continues to focus on health in the Apple Watch

The Bloomberg analyst, based on sources close to the company, points out that blood pressure monitoring could arrive as soon as enext year to the Apple Watch Ultra, the most expensive and advanced watch in the firm’s catalog.

Apple was apparently going to release this feature last year, but as is often the case in the tech world, the project suffered some delays. Finally, the technology is ready to hit the market within a few months.

We are not dealing with official information from the company led by Tim Cook, but the information handled by the American economic media suggests that the blood pressure function will not show specific values to users.

Instead, it will show notifications in case you are in a state of hypertension. It should be noted that this is not a surprise. Apple has taken such an approach in its sleep apnea detection feature.

Some Samsung devices, as we say, have been able to measure blood pressure for a long time, but the South Korean company does not hesitate to point out that the watch “is not a medical device” and that must be calibrated every 28 days.

The news for the next Apple Watch will not only cover the health section, it will also have to do with safety. Sources have said that the next-generation device will be able to send text messages via satellite.
