Dec. 10 (Portaltic/EP) –
Nintendo is one of the video game companies most loved by players around the world thanks to its consoles and franchises such as those starring Super Mario and Pokémon, which have also made the leap to mobile devices, where they entertain fans with a new gameplay format adapted to touch screens.
Video games for mobile phones adapt their format to the characteristics of these devices and offer a different gaming experience compared to their console counterparts.
Adapting the gameplay to the mobile format relies on touchscreen controls, which can work well for certain types of games, especially those designed with intuitive touch mechanics. But they have the drawback that these controls can be imprecise and less suitable for complex games that require fast reaction times.
Mobile games also stand out for their convenience, as players can access games anytime, anywhere, as long as they have their phone at hand. And many of them integrate social features, allowing you to connect with friends, share progress, and even compete in multiplayer modes.
There is a wide variety of mobile video games, of different genres and styles, that are downloaded directly in the app stores. Many of them are also free, with in-app purchases available to obtain new content or additional benefits to progress, although this can generate unexpected costs.
On the other hand, mobile games tend to consume a lot of energy, which means that they can quickly drain the mobile phone’s battery. Added to this is data consumption, especially in online games with a multiplayer component.
