Israel carries out more than 100 attacks against strategic infrastructure in Syria

MADRID Dec. 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported that Israel has carried out more than 100 attacks this Monday against weapons warehouses, airports and strategic infrastructure of the forces of deposed Syrian president Bashar al Assad.

The Israeli Army has attacked an air defense installation near the port of Latakia, while bombings have also been reported in the capital, Damascus – Barzé and Set Zainab – and in its suburbs against research centers and weapons depots.

Likewise, the Observatory has reported attacks around the Qamishli airport, in northeastern Syria, and the Shayrat air base, in Homs province, as well as the Aqraba airport, southwest of Damascus.

The offensive in Syria, launched on November 27 from the province of Idlib and led by the Syrian group Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS), has allowed jihadists and rebels to take the capital, Damascus, and put an end to the Al family regime Assad, in power since 1971, faced with a constant withdrawal of government troops, backed by Russia and Iran.
