Cali, epicenter of innovation and smart energy

Cali opens the doors of its ‘heaven’ to innovation and sustainability. The capital of Valle del Cauca receives this August 31 and September 1 to Bi-On 2022the National Energy Congress.

It is important to specify that this event will be a space in which companies will meet the latest scientific and technological advancesas well as discover new market opportunities, in addition to having an approach with potential allies to promote new business models.

This year’s organization is carried out by the companies that lead the smart energy cluster of Cali – Valle del Cauca, a line of the city’s Chamber of Commerce. It is noteworthy that the region has a business network of 535 companies that recorded sales of $10.2 billion in 2020 and a growth of 8.5% in its sales compared to 2019.

This initiative works on three main fronts: business development, acceleration of innovation and strategic positioning. According to the organization, the event will have three interaction zones: the business roundtable, the knowledge zone and the business zone.

In the business conference, the companies of the cluster will have the purpose of establishing meetings with the firms interested in find developments and solutions for your processes.

Among the speakers, renowned companies and associations stand out, such as the Government of Valle del Cauca; the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena, in English); Smurfit Kappa; Unicamp; Siemens; Celsia, Avebiom, among others.
The University of Antioquia, Gases de Occidente, Emcali, Greendpity, Huevos Kikes, Refoenergy, the German Cooperation Society and the Belgian Vito will also be present.

The Mining and Energy Planning Unit (Upme), the Colombian Business Development Bank (Bancóldex) and AB Energy will also be at the event.

Portfolio will also be present at the meeting as an ally and moderator of the panel on sectoral contributions to sustainable development in Colombia, which will include the participation of the Association of Sugar Cane Growers of Colombia (Asocaña), the National Association of Generating Companies (Andeg), the National Federation of Oil Palm Growers (Fedepalma) and the National Federation of Poultry Farmers of Colombia (Fenavi).
