Dec. 6 (Portaltic/EP) –
Artificial intelligence is not a new technology, but ChatGPT breakoutdeveloped by OpenAI, two years ago, has promoted new tools with the capacity to generate content, which promotes a closer and more personalized approach in dealing with the user.
Generative artificial intelligence in digitalization promises boost creativity and facilitate everyday tasks, But it is not always clear how this technology can be implemented in the processes of companies and organizations.
Precisely, in order to have a clearer idea of what generative artificial intelligence can do, IBM has opened the doors of his Innovation Studio in Madrid to the press, in a meeting attended by Europa Press.
IBM INNOVATION STUDIO
The IBM Innovation Studios are centers with which the technology company seeks move “from inspiration to action”, and which are presented as a meeting place with clients so that Discover what artificial intelligence can do.
For this, in the center of Spain More than 40 people work in one of four cross-functional teams tasked with meeting with clients to help them identify a use case in which they can demonstrate the value of IBM technology, specifically watsonx platformwhich drives generative AI in business solutions.
This co-creation process takes place in about six weeks, and the purpose is to develop a pilot with customer data and architecture, in which IBM’s artificial intelligence technology is incorporated, as explained by the director of the Pegaso team at Client Engineering, Ana Rivera Matías.
“This way you have a very close relationship with the client during all this time, they make the pilot their ownit is not just an IBM job,” emphasizes Rivera, who indicates that the last step of this process is “taking that pilot to production.”
TENDER EVALUATION
Rivera has contributed to the development of a bid comparator for a Spanish company logistics sector, which sought to transform the supplier proposal evaluation process with the support of watsonx.ai.
In the developed pilot, the solution allows upload tender documents to a platform, a process that is done manually. Generative artificial intelligence analyzes the different documentswhich can be in different formats.
You can also formulate questions based on the tender requirements and evaluate the answers of the suppliers, indicating their level of compliance, which is compiled in a table that the client can review to have a clearer vision that allows you to make a decision. You can also consult the pages where the information you need appears.
PROCESSING DOCUMENTS AND CLAIMS
Another use case developed at the IBM Innovation Studio in Madrid has as its client the Public Administrationand “arose at the time when there was the boom in generative artificial intelligence and LLM”, which “helped accelerate the development of this specific pilot”, explained the director of the Orión team at Client Engineering, María Borbonés. Garcia.
The created solution runs in the cloud and combines the classical artificial intelligence with generative to optimize the processing of documents and claims in the legal field. Professionals can upload new requests and perform searches by similarity or through filters, by topic, date or country, among other tags, automating the extraction of information.
They can also ask about information that is present in the claims, request that a response be generated to a preceding claim and obtain a draft to work on.
SEARCH FOR GRANTS
Finally, a third use case was made public in September, in collaboration with the Junta of Extremadura. It is a virtual assistant based on the watsonx generative artificial intelligence and data platformwith the aim of promoting business investment in the region.
As Roberto Ocaña Pastor, director of Client Engineering’s Phoenix team, has stated, “the Government of Extremadura faced the challenge of finding innovative methods to attract investment to the autonomous community.”
Together with IBM, an assistant was launched “in order to improve the experience of companies and investors seeking information about aid and subsidies Extremadura“, by unifying all the information previously dispersed in a single access point, as Ocaña explained.
This wizard allows you to perform queries in natural language and get personalized responses about the requirements, amounts and processes. Also remember the context, if a conversation has been had.
