He Minister of Commerce, Luis Carlos Reyes, He joined in the good wishes for the new head of the country’s economic portfolio: “Congratulations to Minister Diego Guevara, whose sensible and progressive vision of public finances will allow continue on the path of economic growth and responsible fiscal management that puts the Colombian people and its historically excluded citizens above all else”.

Meanwhile, José Antonio Ocampo, former Minister of Finance of this Government, referred to Guevara as a “professor at the National University, very good economist and great person. I wish you good luck in managing the country’s complex fiscal situation.”.

After Bonilla’s resignation

For his part, after the resignation of former Minister Bonilla, Bruce Mac Master, the president of Andi, indicated in his X account that the main priority at this time “From the economic point of view it is macroeconomic stability, and fiscal sustainability, for this reason It is very important that all decisions made strengthen this national purpose. Including the effects that institutional, constitutional and political stability have on them.”.
