The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported that at least four people have died in the early hours of this Saturday as a result of a Russian air attack against a military barracks located in Aleppo, capital of the Syrian province of the same name, in the north of the country. .

The deaths occurred when, after midnight from Friday to Saturday, a Russian fighter plane launched three missiles against a military headquarters located on the outskirts of the city of Mare, in the rural area of ​​northern Aleppo, in the that there were a group of members of the “Joint Force affiliated with the Turkish-backed National Army.”

As a result of the aggression, not only the headquarters has been destroyed, but also several military vehicles, as detailed by the same organization, based in London and informants in the country.

This attack comes after the Observatory itself previously reported this Friday that the jihadist group Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS) and other armed allied factions have taken control of more than half of Aleppo, after a large-scale offensive. scale without resistance against Syrian government forces.

Within the framework of this offensive, more than 270 deaths have been recorded, including 93 members of the regime forces and their allies, including at least four people who have died in an attack by the rebels against the city’s university, in the Al Hamdaniya neighborhood and under the control of government forces, although the National Salvation Government has rejected the accusations, calling the information “misleading propaganda of the regime.”
